WIC’s mission is to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to healthcare.
WIC serves pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women; infants; and children (up to age 5); who meet income guidelines and medical or nutritional risk.

WIC also provides breastfeeding education and assistance. Lactation consultations are available with a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor or an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. We also offer a breastfeeding support group from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Mondays in the Jones Conference Room at the health center.
Prenatal breastfeeding and cooking classes are also available.
