Lyon County Area Transit provides transportation to people in the Lyon County area - to and from school, work, shopping, medical appointments or just out to eat with friends and/or family. Rides within Emporia or within a five-mile radius of city limits cost $1.50 each way, and a round-trip ride to another location in the county is $7. We also have passes that can help cut down on costs for frequent riders: Day Pass for $6, 10-Ride Pass for $14, 30-Day Pass for $35, and Family Passes for $45. We also have Regional Transportation, which travels to places like Topeka, Wichita, El Dorado, and so forth. We do ask for a two-week notice on all Regional trips, and costs range from $25.00 to $35.00/round trip.

Buses all have Wheelchair/Handicap accessible service. Fixed route with over 30 specific bus stop locations available. Demand Response  is available with home to destination service arrangements with prior scheduling only. First come/First Serve

Dispatch hours: M-F 7:30 am to 5:00 pm & Sat 7:45 am to 3:00 pm.  Bus service hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm M-F; Saturday 7:30-3:00.
