Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention

527 Commercial, Ste 101
620-208-9926

Beacon for Hope is a Suicide Prevention 501 (c)(3) non-profit dedicated to linking our community together through education, resources, support, and hope for those who have been affected by suicide.

Founded in 2017 by Melissa Kurtenbach, Beacon for Hope serves as tribute to the memory of her sister lost to suicide in 2006.  Beacon for Hope's lighthouse logo stands as a symbol of light and hope for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, who have struggled, and those who are struggling.

As Emporia's only local suicide prevention non-profit, we pride ourselves on the fact 100% of donations stay local in our community to provide life saving suicide prevention educational materials and opportunities for community members, businesses, and organizations to participate in formal suicide prevention training.
